Qure, achieves Health Technology Assessment, in India for AI-Assisted TB Screening. Qure has been evaluated to increase TB detection, while saving costs as compared to the status quo. Qure has also achieved the best overall results, compared to all CDSCO-cleared TB AI solutions in India.
The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) conducted by ICMR, evaluates the effectiveness of AI tools in improving Tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis care. The study focused on the diagnostic accuracy and cost-effectiveness of AI-assisted CXR interpretation solutions including qXR by Qure.ai. The solutions were also compared to the manual interpretation of the X-rays.
The results showed that Qure's AI solutions increased TB detection while saving costs. qXR has demonstrated, an ICER of -9,864.77 INR. The study concluded that AI-enabled interpretation could be a potential solution to the issue of human resource constraints and reduce the delays in the diagnosis and treatment of Tuberculosis.
The full HTA report offers more insights on the study analysis, the challenges of TB screening programs and the role AI can play.
