Qure.ai, a global AI technology company
focused on healthcare, today announced the appointment of Mihir Bhanushali as
Executive Vice President, Global Health, as the company deepens its investment
in AI-powered healthcare across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Bhanushali joins Qure.ai from Freshworks,
where he was Senior Director, Global Sales. A seasoned commercial leader, he
has built and scaled high-growth businesses across global markets, with earlier
leadership roles at Rippling and Whatfix spanning sales, go-to-market strategy
and commercial transformation.
At Qure.ai, Bhanushali will lead the next
phase of the company's growth across LMICs, with a focus on Africa, Southeast
Asia, South Asia and Latin America. His mandate spans the company's solutions
for infectious diseases, including tuberculosis and HIV, and care delivery
across frontline health systems.
Qure.ai has built a strong public health
footprint over the past decade, with its AI solutions deployed across 107+
countries and 5,200+ sites. Its work in countries such as Nigeria and Kenya
demonstrates how AI can substantially strengthen public health programs — from
TB screening and early diagnosis to care delivery. The company is helping nationwide
public health systems build digital and AI-native infrastructure that enables
healthcare workers and primary care providers to make better decisions and
improve patient outcomes.
Building on this foundation, Qure.ai is
expanding beyond screening and early diagnosis into broader care delivery. At
the centre of this expansion is Aira, Qure.ai's AI doctor and clinical co-pilot
for frontline healthcare, which brings clinical intelligence, digital workflows
and care coordination closer to the point of care, with applications across
primary care, telemedicine, HIV, infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness.
“Improving healthcare access in low- and
middle-income countries has been our ambition from day one, and we see a
significant opportunity to scale our work in this space,” said Prashant Warier,
Co-founder and CEO, Qure.ai. “AI can radically change healthcare workflows in
these markets, and we are expanding our team to scale faster. Mihir brings
strong commercial and international experience, and his mandate is to build on
what we have already established and take this work to its next stage of
growth, including scaling Aira across new markets and use cases.”
“Qure.ai has built something meaningful: AI
technology that is already being used at scale to address real healthcare
challenges across diverse markets,” said Mihir Bhanushali, Executive Vice
President, Global Health, Qure.ai. “What makes the opportunity particularly
exciting is the potential to take this foundation much further, bringing
clinical intelligence to more frontline workers, strengthening health systems
and reaching more patients. With solutions such as Aira, Qure.ai is well
positioned to shape the next phase of AI-enabled healthcare in these markets.”
Qure.ai's work in LMICs is supported by
partnerships with governments, healthcare organisations and global health
funders, including the Gates Foundation.
