Qure.ai was named one of the TECH30 2017 - India's most promising technology startups. The TECH30 are a coveted list of 30, announced every year the TechSparks event in Bangalore, India's oldest and biggest tech startup summit. The winners are chosen from amongst thousands of applications. Startups from Artificial Intelligence (AI), healthtech, cyber security, and cryptocurrency made it to the list this year.

Two abstracts accepted for presentation at RSNA 2017, Nov 26 - Dec 14, Chicago

The science behind 2 of our deep learning solutions will be presented at the RSNA 2017. The first one, titled 'Generating Heatmaps to visualize the Evidence of deep learning based diagnosis of Chest X-rays' will be at 11.45 am on Sunday 26th November as part of the Science Session Artificial Intelligence and Deep learning in Medical Imaging. The second one, titled 'Deep neural networks to identify and localize intracerebral hemorrhage and midline shift in CT scans of brain' will be at 1.00 pm on the same day, as part of the Informatics Sunday Poster Discussions.
The RSNA is the annual meeting of the Radiology Society of North America, and the full program is available here .

Qure.ai wins Nvidia’s Social Innovation Award

Qure.ai won the Social Innovation Award at the Emerging Companies Summit (ECS), held ahead of the first India edition of the Nvidia GPU Tech Conf, in Mumbai on 5th and 6th December 2016. With ECS, NVIDIA aims to recognize startups that are doing remarkable work in the areas of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, autonomous vehicles and robotics.
Qure.ai was one of 12 emerging companies using GPU technology, selected to present at the event, and went on to win the social innovation prize, worth $200,000. The award reinforces Qure’s mission to make healthcare accessible and affordable using deep learning.

NVidia will host the first ever India edition of the GPU Tech Conf - GTCx 2016 on 5th and 6th December 2016. The event will bring together luminaries in deep learning, high performance computing, artificial intelligence and visual computing from across industry, startups and academia. The Emerging Companies Summit (ECS), on day 1 of the event features 12 selected start-up companies using GPU technology.
Qure.ai was chosen to present their work to the GPU community and to a jury of investors at the ECS. Prashant Warier, CEO, Qure.ai will speak at the event, talking about ‘Training Machines to read Chest X-rays, CT scans and MRIs’. Qure will also host an interactive demonstration station at the event, displaying our deep learning solutions for medical imaging.

Qure.ai wins Digital Pathology Challenge at MICCAI 2016

Qure.ai won the Segmentation of Cell Nuclei digital pathology challenge at MICCAI 2016. It involved nuclei segmentation in whole slide tissue images obtained from patients with non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), and lower grade glioma (LGG) tumors. Outlining nuclei in tumorous tissue is an important step towards fully automated tumor grading. Qure.ai presented the work at MICCAI conference held at Athens on 21st Oct 2016

Qure.ai in top 3 of Brain Tumor Segmentation Challenge at MICCAI BRATS 2016

Qure.ai placed third on the task of predicting brain tumor progression in the Multimodal Brain Tumor Image Segmentation (BRATS) challenge. This edition of the BRATS conference focused on longitudinal data analysis, lesion segmentation and mild traumatic brain injuries.
Tracking the progression of brain tumors is a challenging task due to the slow growth rate and the combination of different tumor components. Our deep neural-network-based architecture segments the brain tumor, and focuses on improving accuracy at the edges of these different classes. We show that enhancing the loss function to give more weight to the edge pixels significantly improves the neural network's accuracy at detecting boundaries.
